Tarot

I've never done this before but I'm going to give it ago. I know this is a bit late but hey late is better than never right, so this is a 3 tarot card spread for this year. I think I might make this a monthly thing, I'm not too sure yet but anyway...

1- Past

Competition.

Last year you felt that you had to be the best, had to have the latest thing and had to keep on top of everything, and as much fun as that was part of you didn't really feel comfortable. This card is all about fighting for things, whether in the last year you have been going through some emotional stuff or heartbreak or even health wise this card is saying your a fighter you don't give up and all the fighting is going to pay off in the year ahead, as everything that happened last year in your life happened for a reason. good things are coming.

2- Present

Kindness.

Being kind to people this year in places that won't even feel important will pay off, being yourself you will find you will get further in what it is you are aiming for whether it's in a job interview new school or just trying to meet people in the career areas you like. Being considerate this year is also what's going to help you, be friendly and your lovely bubbly self and you will be surprised where it will lead you, the most unexpected opportunities happen when you least expect it and you don't want to miss is because you chose not to talk to anyone.

3- Future

Sadness upside down.

An upside down card means the opposite, this is a year of joy and happiness and harmony, last year you had a hard year or maybe you didn't feel motivated but this year, when the world is on your side maybe you will find answers and inspiration, things are looking up this year, have fun and enjoy the happiness, whether this is going to be brought with making a life changing decision or getting a new job but happiness is coming your way, just be patient.

Egyptian make up facts

Egyptians were my favorite historic era when I was younger, I was so addicted to them that I even learned how to write and read Hieroglyphics. For me, I loved how ahead of time they were, there are so many historical eras after them that didn't have the technics or the tools they used. They were the closest to us ever in history with medical and skin care they held. I just think in any element to do with the Egyptians there is so much to learn. Any bit of that era there is pages and pages of facts to learn. For me, I'm going to do a few facts about their makeup and health care that I think were the most interesting.

1-

Egyptians believed that makeup was a way of getting the gods protection. The cosmetics they used were so ahead of time that is unbelievable. They had small pots of black eyeliner that even had lids. Eyeshadow plates which had kohl and other earth ingredients crushed also jars with creams and small pots full of rouge. This was all proven when a tomb was found containing all these well-preserved makeup in.

2-

They used to put small cones on their heads, Which would be quite greasy and mucky, but in the sunlight, as It got hotter it would start to melt on their wigs, inside the cone was perfume which would make the wig smell nice all day. It was basically like their deodorant as under their wigs would start to smell.

3-

There are lots of reasons to believe why the Egyptians wore eyeliner but some of them are, that it was too warn off evil that the gods couldn't protect them from, it also made quite a good sun tan lotion, it blocked the sun from burning their eyelids, and face as they would make face powder using white chalk. Eyeliner was made out of kohl and chlorine and lead suffice, some people would put grease in it to make it runnier. Not only did it protect their eyes from sunlight but it also kept the flies away. With the kohl eyeliner, they would put it in a jar with a bit of grease or sometimes spit. Then stir it together before using it as I guess it must dry out like our gel pot eyeliners do. It came with a dish that was either a metal or wood and an ivory brush or a sharp bit of wood to apply it with, would lay on the dish.

4-

Creams that would be used on their faces was actually quite similar to our more organic creams, they used whipped eggs and olive oil and other animal fat, sea salt and fruit justices to make it smell nice, also in the mix would be plants. Which as they new and we now different plants can benefit your skin in different ways.

2017

First post of 2017. This post is going to be all about new things, as it is a new year, therefore I have made a list of new products that I have fallen in love with.

1

Mermaid blanket. Ok, I know this is the latest trend everywhere but I love mermaid things, since I was about four years old, ever since I watched h20 I would have done anything to have had this blanket when I was younger. On Christmas day I sat on the couch watching princess diaries with a harry potter book in my hand wrapped up in my mermaid blanket. I was in heaven and its so warm.

2

The victoria letters. Now I know that I have written about the victorian era before but not only do I write about it I also always talk about it so when I fond this book I just had to get it, I love reading all the diary entry's and letters Queen victoria wrote about her life and how trapped she felt before she married Albert. It's like reading a book full of secrets and scandals that at school they never taught you. As you read the diary entry's she wrote about Albert you will sit there and feel so alone as you don't have an Albert in your life.

3

Erin Condren. I know there are calendars on your phones or apps, where you can set things to beep and stuff but I hate using my phone when it comes down to setting dates, where you can only see 1 day at a time and to see anything you have to click on the date and all that palaver, whereas with a Callander dairy you just flip through the pages, I find it a lot more easy and I find that I'm much more organised when I write it down and can see a whole week at a time and I can physical see and touch it then have to type and go on the app every day to check things whereas with a book you just open one page and the whole week is right there, Erin Condren does the best diaries ever, they are wire bond so the front is re-attachable so you can buy 12 covers if you would like. You can design your own front cover or chose from their options list, The inside you can have either black and white or have it that every month is a different colour. You can also buy add-on items like stickers, pens and folders, I just love things like that as it makes me feel so organised, I've ordered my 2017 one hopefully it should be here soon.

4

Ipad paint brush. This by far is so cool it looks like a paint brush even the bristles feel like a paint brush and I love using this better then the apple pen as it feels less hard on the screen not like if you tap too hard it will crack the screen it's also more movable than the pen and I love painting and sketching with it as literally, you are painting with a paint brush.

5

Wood burning pen. This I will need to practice a lot off as it's one of those you have to get used to it and know all the different tips do. I got this from amazon for £12 and when i got it it looks so amazing and i honestly thought it wouldn't but i used it the other day and i love it, it does smell like your in a middle of a bonfire when you have used it for a long time i mean you are burning wood, I'm a bit scared must admit that i will look up and forget that it's burning a create a fire i will keep you posted on that, i brought some wood to practice on and i have made a Coster with a duck and my name on which was easy once I found the writing tip. As there are 12 I had to also get a book so I could do a bit of research but other than that I can see this begging a new art tool that I will fall in love with and look back a be like how did I live without this.

Book Review.

19th Day of Christmas.
The Eternal ones by Kristen Miller. an absolutely amazing book, again my sister, recommended me this book and I can safely say it will always hold a place in my heart, for me I love reading about reincarnation, and this book is one where you will find yourself curling up into a ball of emotion as its so sweet. This book is about two people who have lived many lives together and somehow always end up together and find their way back to one another, in some lives they remember each other in the past ones, but in some they don't remember at all, it starts with a girl called haven who keeps fainting and while she is on the ground passed out she has flashbacks of another life, she then realises that the guy in her flashbacks is real and is out there somewhere, so she set off to find him. The story goes on and you find out why they remember each other and why they must be together but being together is very dangerous, this is a combination of romance and drama and action. This is one of the best books I have read, I'm currently reading book number 2 and I hope she writes a 3rd one.
